A State-of-the-art modern Cancer Hospital is being built with the generous contribution from people based on estimates of the Bangladesh Cancer Society there are currently more than  12,00,000 cancer patients in Bangladesh. About 200,000 new cancer patients are added each year and 150,000 die from the disease annually. 

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), a voluntary development organization dedicated to humanitarian services, took up the project for establishment of a 500 bed, MULTI - MODALITY CANCER CARE as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE within the proposed AHSANIA MISSION CANCER and GENERAL HOSPITAL (AMCGH) capable of offering modern cancer treatment and other health services. 

DAM was awarded the UN ESCAP HRD Award 1994 and the Bangladesh Independence Award-2002 for its humanitarian services and contribution towards societal development in Bangladesh.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission celebrated its "Golden Jubilee," in 2008 marking the 50th year of its establishment. All staff-members of Dhaka Ahsania Mission recalled with respect and gratitude the contribution the founding father, Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (Rahmatullah Alaihee) made in establishing, promoting and developing Dhaka Ahsania Mission from scratch through his untiring efforts, dedication and conviction. His social energy imbued every one around him to pursue the shared goal and his spiritual energy ignited their minds and unfolded their creativity. Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah spelled out the following the guiding principles spelt out by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (Rahmatullah Alaihee)  Dhaka Ahsania Mission aims to:   

• Work towards social and spiritual development of all human beings [regardless of caste, colour and creed].  
• Endeavour to remove differences, distinctions and disparity among all human beings.  
• Promote unity, cultivate brotherhood among fellow human beings and inspire divine love.  
• Motivate everyone to shun pride and realize one's insignificance.  
• Educate everyone to recognize and realize relationship between the Creator and creation.  
• Teach everyone to realize one's duty to the Creator and to his fellow human beings.  
• Work towards extending all possible support and cooperation to suffering people [who are oppressed, suppressed, exploited in the society].
